Questions?
The best family vacations aren’t the ones where everything goes perfectly. They’re the ones where you’re all in it together — laughing, exploring, and doing things none of you would have thought to do on your own. Family Camp at Lutheridge is exactly that kind of week.
Set in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, Family Camp is designed for families of all kinds who want something more meaningful than a resort and more adventurous than staying home. The week is intentionally low-pressure — no packed schedules, no expensive excursions, just the natural rhythm of camp life at its best. Mornings give kids an incredible experience with our energetic young adult counselors while parents enjoy adult Bible study and some rare, unhurried quiet. Then families come back together for the heart of the day: canoes, crafts, songs, campfire skits, and a guided outing to stunning Dupont State Forest that the whole family will be talking about on the drive home.
Faith is woven through the week naturally and warmly — in conversations around the campfire, in the beauty of the mountains, and in the community that forms when families slow down long enough to notice each other again. Camp staff bring the energy and the expertise; families bring themselves.
Families are housed together in comfortable adult family housing, keeping everyone under one roof while giving parents the space they need to actually relax.
Full Week Option: A complete week of Family Camp, including our legendary Fourth of July celebration complete with fireworks — one of the most joyful and memorable nights of the summer.
Half Week Option: Three nights of everything above, staying on site. A perfect introduction to camp life that pairs beautifully with our Pioneer Sampler program for younger campers ready to take their first independent step.
Whether it’s your family’s first time at camp or you’ve been coming for years, Family Camp has a way of becoming the week your family measures everything else against.
