The Ceremony

Whisnant Chapel is an open-air chapel under the trees, and Lakeside Lodge is a pavilion by the lake for a picnic or an afternoon outside. Both are open from spring into fall, and both need a reservation.

Tell us how many guests you’re expecting, and we’ll help you find the right spot.

A bride and groom embrace at the altar, with flowers and stained glass behind them
A bride twirls under the groom's raised hand outside the chapel's open door
Guests hold sparklers high as the groom dips the bride for a kiss on the lawn at night

Where Everyone Stays

Keep your families close for the whole weekend.

Pick by how your group likes to sleep. Thornburg Hall and Kohnjoy Inn have private rooms, the Bacot Center is a whole house with a full kitchen, and the cabins run from classic camp bunks to private bedrooms in the Hill Cabins. Thornburg, Kohnjoy and Bacot each have a room to meet in, so a smaller group may need nothing else.

Ask about rooms for your guests when you call.
