Rooted in faith. Open to possibility.

We believe time apart can shape the way we live together.

At Lutheridge, Lutherock, and Luther Springs, NovusWay brings people into community through faith, friendship, and experiences in God’s creation. What begins at camp can become part of who we are, and how we love and serve.

Three camps. One shared calling.

NovusWay Ministries is an independent nonprofit outdoor ministry organization rooted in the Christian faith. A ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, we bring people together through summer programs and year-round gatherings at three camps in North Carolina and Florida.

Our name reflects the invitation at the heart of this work. “Novus” is Latin for “new, fresh, and extraordinary.” NovusWay is a new way for Lutheran outdoor ministries in the southeastern United States, creating room for people to encounter faith, community, and creation in fresh ways.

You are welcome here.

We welcome all who seek God's love and grace in an outdoor ministry setting. We welcome all as God welcomes all, regardless of race or culture, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, family status, socio-economic circumstances, physical or mental abilities, or citizenship. Our unity is in Christ.

What Guides Us.

To be camper and guest first, we lean into Safety, Care, Joy, Unity, Inclusivity.

Safety

We put the well-being of campers and guests at the center of our decisions.

Care

We approach people, relationships, and the places entrusted to us with intention.

Joy

We make room for play, discovery, and the delight of being together.

Unity

We bring our distinct communities together in a shared ministry rooted in Christ.

Inclusivity

We seek to build communities where people are welcomed and valued.

Distinct places. A story we share.

Each camp has its own history, landscape, and character. Together, they offer places to step away from everyday routines and return with something meaningful to carry forward.

A Ministry Carried by People.

Camp comes to life through the people who lead, serve, encourage, and give. Staff, volunteers, congregations, and supporters each have a part in the work of NovusWay.
