Questions?

Some places stop you in your tracks. Parkway Peak is built around those places.

This outdoor adventure program takes 6th–8th graders into the heart of the Blue Ridge — camping overnight at over 5,000 feet of elevation along the Blue Ridge Parkway and summiting not one but two mountain peaks among the highest east of the Mississippi River. The views from the top are the kind that make everything feel both very small and very significant at the same time. Getting there on your own two feet makes it even better.

Hiking to two summits in a single week is a real accomplishment — and campers know it. Along the way they discover something that no screen or classroom can teach: that hard things are worth doing, that their bodies are more capable than they realized, and that the people who climb alongside you through the difficult stretches become some of the best friends you’ll ever make.

Back at camp, the week rounds out with our challenge tower, time at the pool, crafts, and all the classic elements of a great camp experience. Experienced, trained counselors are present every step of the way — on the trail and back at camp — creating a community where every camper is known, encouraged, and challenged to reach a little higher.

Parkway Peak is for the camper who has always wondered what’s at the top. This week, they find out.
