Discover the Fun

River Explorers gives 5th–8th graders a week of adventure, friendship, and room to grow at Lutheridge. A tubing trip down the French Broad River is a highlight, with plenty more to discover back at camp.

Campers help shape their week by choosing activities that spark their curiosity. From rock climbing, archery, and canoeing to cooking, guitar, and more, there’s space to explore new interests and build skills. Pool time and visits to the craft lodge round out the fun.

Caring, college-aged counselors guide campers throughout the week, creating a welcoming community where they can be themselves, make friends, and take on new challenges. It’s a chance to find belonging, build confidence, and head home proud of what they’ve accomplished.
