Questions?
“I don’t understand why church can’t be more like camp!” A boy said that to his parents as they were leaving camp, and they weren’t sure what to do with it. A few weeks later, they heard about bRIDGE.
bRIDGE equips parents and caregivers to make faith formation part of everyday family life, so the joy of camp doesn’t have to wait until next summer. This family weekend at Lutheridge is where it starts: camp-style worship, games, songs, discussion and activities, time with other parents and caregivers in the same stage of life, and practical tools for nurturing faith at home. Think of it as training to be a camp counselor for your own children.
bRIDGE was developed by Pastors Sara and Drew Yoos of Lutheridge and Pastors Andrea and Kyle Bates of St. Michael Lutheran Church in Greenville, South Carolina, through Lilly Endowment’s Christian Parenting and Caregiving Initiative. The weekend is one part of it; there’s also a monthly gathering for congregations and an at-home cabin time resource. If you’d like to bring bRIDGE to your church, ask us about it.
