Questions?

Leadership isn’t learned in a classroom. It’s learned in the moments when the path ahead is uncertain, the environment is unfamiliar, and the people around you are looking to each other to figure out what comes next. Cave and Wave puts high schoolers in exactly those moments — repeatedly, deliberately, and in some of the most extraordinary settings imaginable.

Descending into Worley’s Cave demands a particular kind of courage — the slow, quiet kind. Navigating underground passages with limited light and no obvious roadmap teaches campers to stay calm under pressure, communicate clearly, and trust both themselves and the people around them. It is the kind of resilience that doesn’t announce itself loudly but runs deep. Then the week pivots completely to whitewater rafting — fast, loud, and fun! Every person in the boat matters. Every decision is immediate. It’s one of the purest team building experiences there is. An overnight campout under the stars connects the two, creating space to decompress, reflect, and talk honestly about what the day asked of them.

Back at camp, the challenge tower adds another dimension of physical and mental challenge, alongside the pool, crafts, and the full rhythm of a great camp community. Experienced counselors serve as mentors throughout — not just guides keeping campers safe, but adults genuinely invested in helping each camper understand what they’re learning about themselves along the way.

High schoolers leave Cave and Wave with more than great stories. They leave knowing they can handle the unexpected — and knowing how to bring others through it with them.
