Luther Springs Hurricane Milton Update 10.10.24
As Florida wakes up this morning to the devastation of Milton, we wanted to update you on Luther Springs. First, our staff are all safe. The campus is without power, and there are trees down. Ms. Sarah walked most of the property, and the buildings all seemed unharmed. We know that our neighbors, especially to the south are not as fortunate, and we continue to lift them in prayer. I also heard from Sue this morning. She evacuated and is safe.
We will continue to expand our Southwest Disaster Response work with Inspiritus over the next couple of years to help coordinate mission groups who want to help with the recovery in Florida. We will have more information about that in the near future, but for now, you may continue to email Deacon Sue Mendenhall at smendenhall@novusway.org to share your interest, groups size, and time of year you’d like to come. We will need some time to get the system built, but we will be in touch as soon as we do to schedule in the order the requests were received.
Thank you all for your continued support and care of these ministries we love and share.
