NORTH CAROLINA RELIEF
Western North Carolina Disaster Response Opportunities
Lutheridge/Lutherock – Groups interested in serving year-round through LDR Carolinas can stay at Lutheridge or Lutherock in simple, camp-style cabins for just $25 per person per night (meals not included). These basic accommodations offer a comfortable place to rest after a day of meaningful work. For groups seeking more comfort or meal service, upgraded hotel-style lodging is available at our standard rates. Want to add a little extra camp magic to your trip? We’re happy to offer camp-style programming and activities—like crafts, hikes, or team-building—for a modest fee to help cover staffing and supplies. A summer camp option is also available for High School groups and adults. For more information and/or to register, please contact: Amy Phillips, LDR Carolinas Response Coordinator at amy@ldrcarolinas.org. Group leaders can also use this form to indicate their interest in bringing a group next summer: http://bit.ly/4gq4rQy
FLORIDA/GEORGIA RELIEF
We will offer weeks in Florida and Georgia, and provide housing, food, tools, and programming. Groups will need to provide their own transportation. Weeks will run from Sunday late afternoon through Friday morning. A typical week will feature team building on Sunday, work projects Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, a fun water excursion/beach trip on Thursday, and worship and closing on Friday. Meals are provided from Sunday dinner through Friday breakfast. We run our program mission – camp style. We will provide programming for the week, including leading games, music, bible study, and having counselors oversee campers at night. We are, however, flexible and very open to adjusting that to your group’s needs/wishes. For more information and/or to register, contact Deacon Sue Mendenhall at smendenhall@novusway.org or 727-415-9887.
