NovusWay is partnering with LDR Carolinas to provide a coordinator to establish working relationships with the community who need recovery work. This is a three-year relationship. This person will be in place in the coming weeks and will offer Year-Round Mission Trip opportunities for adult and high school groups. We will partner with Inspiritus to provide Year-Round Mission Trips in Florida and Georgia.
Spring Break, Summer, and Year-Round Mission weeks will be available.
NORTH CAROLINA RELIEF
Western North Carolina Disaster Response Opportunities
Lutheridge/Lutherock – Groups will be housed at Ridge or Rock in a basic cabin for $25 a night (no meals). For more comfortable accommodations and/or meals, groups may stay in one of our hotel-style spaces at our regular rates. The LDR coordinator will manage work sites and logistics. If a group would like additional “camp style programming or activities,” we can accommodate that for a modest fee to help cover the cost of our staff and resources. We will continue to share more information as it becomes available. For more information and/or to register, please contact Pastor Drew Yoos at dyoos@novusway.org.
FLORIDA/GEORGIA RELIEF
We will offer weeks in Florida and Georgia and provide housing, food, tools, and programming. Groups will need to provide their own transportation. Weeks will run from Sunday late afternoon through Friday morning. A typical week will feature team building on Sunday, work projects Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, a fun water excursion/beach trip on Thursday, and worship and closing on Friday. Meals are provided from Sunday dinner through Friday breakfast. We run our program mission – camp style. We will provide programming for the week, including leading games, music, bible study, and having counselors oversee campers at night. We are, however, flexible and very open to adjusting that to your group’s needs/wishes. For more information and/or to register, contact Deacon Sue Mendenhall at smendenhall@novusway.org or 727-415-9887.
