For me, I appreciate watching relationships over time extend up and down and from side to side. Those who were once your campers go on to be colleagues. Those who were my counselors then adopted me into ordained ministry.

Being on summer staff awakened new possibilities for faith and ministry that I have carried with me in every occupation I’ve held since. Now, 21 years after my first summer on staff, I still see the tangible results of that intensely formative period of my life, and I draw from that deep well every single day.
